Man, 21, remanded on rape charge

A 21-year-old man from Anglesey has been remanded in custody after being accused of raping a teenager in a field.

Mathew James Le Cras, from Newborough, is charged with the attack on the 18-year-old near Gaerwen.

Llangefni magistrates were told the alleged offence was on Monday morning.

He confirmed his name, address and age and will appear at Caernarfon Crown Court on 25 April. There was no application for bail.
