Fire officers find body at blaze
The body was discovered by firemen attending a blaze
The body of a man has been found hanging in a blazing building at Penmaenmawr in Conwy, say police.

The man was discovered by North Wales Fire and Rescue Service at 2130 GMT on Sunday.

Inspector Mike Owen, of North Wales Police, said inquiries were ongoing but the death was not being treated as suspicious.

The coroner has been informed and a post mortem examination will be carried out.

"Local officers attended the scene and I can confirm that the body of a man was found hanging within the property," said Insp Owen.

"The scene was immediately secured and an investigation was commenced."

A spokeswoman for the fire service said two appliances, from Llanfairfechan and Llandudno, had been called out to the blaze, at the detached property in the centre of Penmaenmawr.

Firemen wearing breathing apparatus fought the fire, which was confined to the ground floor, she added.
