Man's sex offence register charge
Derek Williams
Derek Williams will reappear in court next Thursday
Police have charged a man with failing to register as a sex offender within the 72 hours' requirement.

Derek Williams, of Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, was bailed to appear before magistrates next Thursday.

A week ago, Williams, 40, admitted downloading pornographic images of children on his computer.

He was given a suspended sentence partly due to the home secretary's plea to judges to use prisons sparingly due to overcrowding.
