Tributes have been paid to a well-known businessman who died after falling into the sea when he was struck on the head by the sail boom of his boat.
Mark Campbell was knocked unconscious off the harbour breakwater at Holyhead on Anglesey at 2015 BST on Wednesday.
Two companions jumped in to try to help him, but Mr Campbell, an experienced sailor, died after being airlifted to Ysbyty Gwynedd by RAF helicopter.
The father-of-two was said to have been "well loved" by family and friends.
A statement from the family continued: "He leaves behind a his wife Caroline, and his children Jacob, 11 years old and 18-year-old daughter Ceri.
"He was a very popular and well known member of the community."
Mr Campbell was the sales director at his family's business Joseph Keegan, a Holyhead-based wines and spirits company.
"Born and brought up in the Holyhead and Trearddur Bay areas he loved nothing more than watching rugby and sailing," his family said.
Race evening
"In his younger days he played for Holyhead Rugby Club but although he still enjoyed watching rugby, sailing was his passion."
Mr Campbell was the commodore of the Holyhead sailing club, after being appointed to the post for the second time.
Wednesday was race night at the club and he was out with family and friends when the tragedy happened.
Mr Campbell had lived in the Trearddur Bay area for most if his life. At 18 he left to join the Hong Kong police for a short time.
His death was one of four in separate incidents around the coast of Wales on Wednesday night.
