Rescuers looking for a teenage boy who disappeared in a river near a waterfall in Snowdonia have discovered a body.
About six hours after the search began at Cyfyng Falls, North Wales Police said they had found the body of a "young male".
Police said they would not release his name until his family were informed.
Fire crews, mountain rescue, the air ambulance, RAF helicopter and underwater search teams were sent to the scene near Capel Curig at 1330 BST.
The missing boy, who was with a group of friends, fell in and did not resurface.
Before the body was found, Bob Dixon, of North Wales Fire Service, said the search was being concentrated on one part of the river.
He said: "It appears it was a group of friends who had been playing in the river and one of them got into some difficulty.
"The last place this person was seen was below a waterfall.
"This is a narrow part of the river, which is fairly deep.
"There are underwater hazards where people can be trapped, there are underwater currents, caves - it's a really hazardous area.
"We would implore people not to go into the river."
Following a discovery of the body, a spokeswoman for North Wales Police said: "The body of a young male was recovered from the water at 1903.
"He will not be named until his family have been contacted."
