Pensioner injured in hit-and-run
A pensioner has been left seriously injured after a hit-and-run incident in north Wales, say police.

The 83-year-old man was run over while walking his dog along the B5106 road in Tyn-y-Groes, Conwy, at around 1820 GMT on Friday.

He man suffered serious head, leg and arm injuries and has been taken to Glan Clwyd hospital at Bodelwyddan.

A white or silver car-sized van is believed to have been involved in the incident.

A spokesperson for Glan Clwyd Hospital said the pensioner was in a stable and comfortable condition in hospital on Saturday morning.

The man's dog is being looked after by a vet.
