Inquest opened into island death

An inquest has been opened and adjourned on Friday into the death of a Polish man on Anglesey.

Zbignier Okon, 24, from Poland, died in an alleged stabbing incident at a house in Ucheldre, Llangefni on 12 February.

Danilo Furtado, a 45-year-old Portuguese man was remanded in custody by Pwllheli magistrates on Wednesday, charged with murder.

Coroner Dewi Pritchard-Jones adjourned the inquest in Caernarfon.

Mr Furtado will appear at Caernarfon Crown Court next week. There was no application for bail.
