Fatal crash blocks main A55 route

The crash blocked the westbound A55
A 53-year-old man died in a road accident which blocked the main A55 westbound in Conwy on Friday.

North Wales Police named the man as Neil Murray Webster, from Bangor.

The car he was travelling in was in a collision with a stationary lorry at Penmaenmawr.

Traffic was being diverted through the town after the crash at around 1600 GMT.

An air ambulance went to the scene and a fire crew used special equipment to release the casualty from the wreckage.
