A man has been remanded in custody, charged with the murder of a 20-year-old man on Anglesey.
Arfon Williams, from Bodedern, near Holyhead, died before reaching hospital following an incident at round 0200GMT on Sunday in the village.
He was being taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor with stab wounds.
Nicholas McGuigan, 23, from Glanarfon, appeared before Holyhead magistrates on Tuesday.
Dressed in a black Wales rugby jersey, he spoke only to confirm his name and address.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Caernarfon Crown Court on 21 January.
One to Bodedern's main streets, Church Street, was cordoned off while a forensic team investigated the scene.
Mr Williams' parents Gareth and Helen, released a short statement on Monday: "We would like to thank the local community for their wishes and support," they said.
"We would also like to stress our need for privacy at this very difficult time."
