Police worked at the crime scene
Police sealed off part of the village on Friday
A man has been injured in what police have called a "serious" incident in a village in Conwy early on Friday.

North Wales Police sealed off part of Dwygyfylchi, near Penmaenmawr, while an investigation was carried out.

The force said it received a call from the ambulance service to report the incident, which took place in Treforris Road at about 0230 BST.

The injured man is being treated at Ysbyty Gwynedd. Two people are being questioned by police over the incident.

Forensic experts have examined the scene where the man was found lying injured in the road.

Police have not yet released the injured man's identity, but said their inquiries were continuing.
