Police are appealing for witnesses after the driver's death

North Wales Police are appealing for witness after a minibus driver died in Bangor.

The vehicle driven by Roy Mercer, 64, from Carmel, near Caernarfon, collided with road side furniture.

The accident happened on the A487 near the Tesco supermarket roundabout on Saturday at 1450 BST.

There were no passengers on the minibus, which came to rest on a grass verge.

Mr Mercer was pronounced dead at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor.

Police are investigating the incident.
