Passer-by finds body in parkland

Police are no longer treating as suspicious the death of a man whose body was found in parkland.

The discovery was made in a park on Sontley Hill, Wrexham, shortly after 1000 GMT, said North Wales Police.

Det Insp Gwyn Jones said the body was found in the open by a passer-by, and it is believed to be that of a man in his 40s from Liverpool.

The man had not been reported missing, and it is not known if he had received any injuries.

A post-mortem examination is likely to be carried out on Monday.
