Police have released a man they were questioning on suspicion of murder following the disappearance of a 41-year-old Indonesian woman.

Ermatati Rodgers, known as Tati, was last seen at shops near Gwersyllt, Wrexham, in early January.

The 26-year-old man from the Wrexham area was arrested on Monday and has been released without charge.

North Wales Police say enquiries are ongoing and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

An inquiry began when officers received a report that Ms Rodgers had not been seen since 4 January. Her body has not been found.

Officers later released CCTV images of her shopping in a Somerfield store that day.

Ms Rodgers had lived alone in Wrexham for 11 years and had planned to travel to Indonesia in February.

On the day she disappeared, she sent a text message to a friend arranging to meet at lunchtime the following day.

But she did not turn up and her friend later raised the alarm.
