Lifeboat aids hurt tanker crewman
A crew member on a tanker heading to Norway had to be taken ashore on Anglesey in the early hours after suffering a serious hand injury.

The Holyhead all-weather lifeboat was called out by coastguards in poor weather to take the man, who is in his mid-20s, to Holyhead marina.

There were reports the end of his finger was cut off.

He was then taken by ambulance to Ysbyty Gwynedd hospital in Bangor. The lifeboat was launched at 0315 GMT.
