Police investigating the murder of a 90-year-old widow near Wrexham two years ago say they have had an "encouraging" response to a new appeal.
Several people have contacted them over the murder of Elsie Hughes from Abermorddu in September 2005, they say.
A reward on offer for information leading to her killer was raised from £30,000 to £100,000 on Friday.
Det Ch Insp Neill Anderson, who is leading the inquiry, said they had a handful of calls in response.
"We still however need the key information we are seeking," said Mr Anderson.
"I want to stress that we can provide assistance and full support to people who come forward with information.
"Please come forward and speak to us - pick up the phone and talk to the detectives."
A team of 17 officers are still employed full time on the murder inquiry, launched after Mrs Hughes - or Aunty Elsie as she was known locally - was found on the floor of her living room with severe facial injuries and died the next day in hospital.
The intruder who police believe was responsible for the attack escaped with £200 in cash.
Anyone with information should contact the inquiry team at Wrexham on 0845 6071001 (Welsh language line ) or 0845 6071002 (English language line) or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
