The 2007 Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod has been hailed as the most successful yet, with record ticket sales.
Jose Carreras and Joan Baez headlined this year's event
Early figures show £580,000 worth of tickets were sold for the festival, up 11% on 2006 and 44% more than in 2005.
The Denbighshire event, launched in 1947, is now in its 61st year.
Chief executive Gwyn Williams said: "To increase tickets sales in a period that saw some of the largest rainfall since records began is no mean achievement".
He added: "I'd once again like to thank the volunteers, visitors, and the people of Llangollen and Denbighshire, and far beyond for the magnificent help they provide each year to maintain the success of our world-renowned festival."
Between 2,000 and 5,000 singers and dancers from up to 50 countries compete at the festival every July.
This year's main attractions included concerts by Jose Carreras, Hayley Westenra and Joan Baez.
