Judges said the nursery provided a welcoming environment for children
A Wrexham nursery which boasts a "themed village" and a vegetable patch for children has won a top UK award.

Rossett House, in Rossett, impressed the National Day Nurseries Association contest judges, who crowned it the UK's Day Nursery of the Year.

The nursery caters for babies and children up to five years old, some of whom travel from 35 miles away.

Owner Peter Graham said: "Our aim is to always provide the highest of standards and exceptional care for the children."

"Our special thanks go to our parents who supported us and each child for being unique and special."

The prize was £2,000, to be spent on the nursery.

Jared Regan, of Ariel Sensitive, which supported the award, said: "The hard work and commitment from staff is reflected in the welcoming environment they create and the truly outstanding level of care they provide for the children lucky enough to attend there."
