Two arrests over cancelled raffle
A man and a woman have been arrested by North Wales Police after a raffle to win a house was cancelled.

An inquiry began when the £30-a-ticket draw was cancelled after the £150,000 market value of the home, understood to be in Flintshire, was not reached.

A 36-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of breaching the Lottery and Gaming Act and obtaining money by deception.

The woman was released on police bail and the man was being questioned.

Detectives appealed to any outlets which had sold the raffle tickets to come forward.

It is believed the organisers of the cancelled raffle intended instead to hold a prize draw with the ticket proceeds going to the winner.
