A teenage girl reported missing from her home in north Wales has been found safe by police.

The girl, who was from the Wrexham area, was found in the Bangor area and is in the care of police officers.

Police are still looking for van driver Alan Grant, also known as Alan Weston, from Stockport, Greater Manchester, after reports a girl was abducted.

A girl was reportedly taken from Wrexham on Friday afternoon, by a man in a white LDV panel van.

Police have not yet confirmed whether the teenager's disappearance is linked to the abduction report.

Police warning

Officers said the girl was snatched near Summerhill Road, in the Highfield area of the town.

Police were alerted about 1600 BST, by a member of the public, who said the girl was being forced into the van, registration R474 GNB.

The van used in the incident is described as having an orange beacon on the roof, and has a sliding door at the side and a rear door.

Anyone who sees Mr Grant is warned not to approach him and to contact police immediately.
