Stabbing of man, 18, 'unprovoked'
Police are hunting the attacker of an 18-year-old man who was stabbed in the chest in an apparently motiveless assault.

The victim, from Deeside, is being treated at the Countess of Chester Hospital after the stabbing on Wednesday night.

Detectives said nothing was stolen in the "unprovoked attack", which happened in Flint, between 2315 and 2345 GMT.

The attacker was white, wearing black jogging bottoms and a hooded top.

The 18-year-old victim was walking along Chester Road towards Flint and was passing the Shell garage when he was approached by another man.

North Wales Police said he was stabbed "for no apparent reason".

He raised the alarm at a nearby house and is now being treated in hospital, with his injury not believed to be life threatening.

A police spokesman added: "Nothing was stolen from the victim and there is no reason at this time to suggest why he was targeted by the offender".
