Police officer (generic)
North Wales Police said it had to take the abduction reports seriously
North Wales Police are appealing for witnesses after two apparent abductions were reported in Flintshire.

In each, a man was assaulted by the occupants of a hatchback car, before being bundled into the back.

The first was witnessed in Hope between 2100 and 2130 GMT on 19 January, the second at Caergwrle happened shortly afterwards.

Police have not ruled out practical jokes. as no assaults or missing people have been reported.

The Caergwrle incident happened near the HSBC bank in High Street, and the Hope incident happened outside the entrance to the Castell Alun Sports Centre at around 2150.

Witnesses said the car in both was a small hatchback, with the second being silver and possibly a Citroen Saxo.

North Wales Police said, despite the abductions potentially being practical jokes, it had to take the reports seriously.
