The injured man was airlifted to hospital
A paraglider is in a serious condition in a north Wales hospital after falling around 50ft.

The man, from Ellesmere Port, suffered serious head injuries in the accident on a mountain above the village of Bryneglwys near Corwen, Denbighshire.

The injured man was at a local paragliding site on Llantysilio mountain when the accident happened.

He is being treated at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

North Wales Police said they believed the glider had fallen around 50ft after being forced to make a crash landing.

The accident happened around 1530GMT on Saturday.

A Sea King helicopter from RAF Valley on Anglesey was sent to assist in the man's recovery and he was flown to hospital.
