Arrests over petrol station raid

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery at a petrol station in Powys.

The men, aged 18 and 24, are being questioned about the incident which occurred at the WR Davies garage in Welshpool on Friday at 2130 GMT.

It is alleged the men were armed with bats but fled the scene after they were challenged by members of staff at the premises in Salop Road.

Two men were arrested by Dyfed-Powys Police on Sunday.
