Helicopter in emergency landing

A helicopter has been involved in an emergency landing at Mid Wales Airport in Powys.

Firefighters said the pilot, who holds a helicopter pilot's licence, was treated by paramedics at the scene, near Welshpool.

A spokesman for Mid and West Wales Fire Service said it was called to the airport at 1145 BST.

The helicopter is operated by the Whizzard helicopter flying school, which is based at the airport.
