Body found in missing walker hunt

Eilian Hopkins was a keen walker along the coastal path

Police have called off their search for a missing 65-year-old walker after a body was found on the shoreline in Ceredigion.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the body was believed to be that of Eilian Hopkins, from Llanrhystud, near Aberystwyth.

Mr Hopkins, who was known to enjoy walk along the coastal path, went missing last week.

A coastguard search team discovered the man's on the coast at Blaenplwyf near Aberystwyth on Wednesday.

The death has been reported to the coroner and police said there were no suspicious circumstances.
