High school shut by sickness bug
A Ceredigion school has closed after about 150 pupils and more than a dozen teachers fell ill with a sickness bug.

The remaining 550 pupils at Cardigan High School were sent home on Wednesday.

It will remain closed on Friday and the school has advised pupils showing symptoms to stay at home when it does reopen.

Environmental health and education officials from Ceredigion Council met to discuss the illness on Wednesday.

A sickness bug in Powys earlier this year affected hundreds of pupils and resulted in school closures.
