Two teenagers had to be rescued from cliffs in Aberystwyth just a day after a woman student was critically injured.
The 25-year-old from the Cardiff area is in hospital in Swansea with serious head injuries.
She fell 35ft from the cliffs at Constitution Hill where on Sunday the teenagers also had to be rescued.
The girl aged 14 and a youth of 18 were rescued by coastguards after becoming trapped in icy conditions.
The pair from the Hereford area were unhurt although were suffering from hypothermia.
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old, the former town student, who fell from the rocks onto the beach below has undergone surgery for head injuries.
She remained in a critical but stable condition at Swansea's Morriston Hospital on Monday.
Tide
She was initially taken to Bronglais Hospital in the town after the rescue involving coastguards, police and ambulance but she was later transferred to Swansea's Morriston Hospital.
Coastguards have said the rescue was made easier because the woman was not cut off by the tide.
A spokesman for Milford Haven Coastguards, who coordinated the rescue, said that teams from Aberystwyth and Borth were called to deal with the emergency.
The woman had to be carried on a body board across breakwaters by coastguards, paramedics and police officers to a waiting ambulance.
She had been with a party of friends when the incident happened.
A rescue helicopter was also called out but was not needed.
Dyfed-Powys Police are conducting inquiries into the incident.
