Two hurt in tractor collision

Emergency services had to cut both drivers free
Two people were injured when a tractor pulling a trailer full of straw and a car collided in Powys.

A 66-year-old woman had to be cut free from the wreckage of her car and taken to hospital after the crash in Church Stoke, near Montgomery.

The tractor driver was trapped in his cab by bales of straw and also had to be cut free by firefighters.

The accident happened just before 1800 BST on Saturday on the A489.

The woman was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, where her injuries were said not to be life-threatening.

There were no details as to how badly injured the other driver was.
