Teenagers 'taunted' dead man
Mount estate, Milford Haven
The gardener was attacked on this estate
There have been warnings that the death of a Pembrokeshire man after he was harassed by a gang of teenagers could provoke violence on a troubled housing estate in Milford Haven.

Dyfed Powys police are investigating after the death of Geoff Braddach at the weekend.

The fifty-six-year-old gardener suffered a heart attack after the youths surrounded him and his collie, called Bouncer

He collapsed at the scene clutching his chest and pleading for help.

Geoff Braddach: Taunted by youths

Two men who live nearby heard Bouncer barking and ran to Mr Braddach's aid but they were unable to revive him.

The tragedy happened close to Mr Braddach's flat above a shop on the Mount Estate in Milford Haven on Saturday.

Shopkeeper Steve Bennett described Mr Braddach as " a perfect tenant" who acted as a security guard.

Dyfed Powys police are investigating Mr Braddach's death and said the five youths, aged between 12 and 15, were being interviewed.

'Police action'

But residents of the estate said feelings were running high following the tragedy and warned that they had had enough of 'anti-social behaviour' by local children.

Milford Haven town councillor Joyce Walters said that groups of youths had picked on the man for many years and swift police action was needed to prevent problems.

Councillor Walters, the chair of the local community association, said she feared violence unless more attention was paid to the local problems.

"If there are not changes in the police and the council - then this is going to happen again," she said.
