The fuel crisis: Services hit in Wales

Prince Charles Hospital has cancelled several operations
As the fall-out from the fuel shortage continues, there are still some service difficulties in Wales.

BBC News Online Wales has collated a round-up of affected services throughout Wales:

HEALTH

Most hospitals in Wales have re-started their timetables for routine surgery which had been cancelled during the crisis.

EMERGENCY SERVICES

The Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust has re-started its routine services.

EDUCATION

Some schools in Caerphilly and Rhondda Cynon Taff are closed. Parents are urged to check with schools.

All affected schools are expected to re-open on Tuesday.

TRANSPORT AND ROADS

Information on bus services across Wales is available on a central helpline telephone number - 0870 6082608.

There are no problems reported by rail companies in Wales. Wales and West.

Air services at Cardiff International Airport are reported to be running normally.

COUNCILS

No authorities have reported significant problems affecting services from Monday. Most councils are now receiving sufficient supplies of fuel.
