The works of the final eight artists competing for the Artes Mundi prize are now installed in the National Museum of Wales.

One of the biggest art prizes in the world, the international competition is hosted and judged in Cardiff.

The eight finalists competing for the £40,000 prize have been whittled down from over 400 entrants from across 80 different countries.

Catrin Mears from the National Museum of Wales gives BBC Wales a sneak preview of the Artes Mundi finalists.
