Singer-songwriter Cerys Matthews has given birth prematurely to a baby boy.
He is a first child for the 40-year-old BBC 6 Music radio presenter with her partner Steve Abbott, 49. She already had a boy and girl with her ex-husband.
In her message on her website she writes that the baby, who was due in January but arrived eight weeks early on Monday, is an "amazing surprise".
She had been in the Wales Millennium Centre Cardiff last Friday, co-presenting BBC Children in Need.
No name has yet been revealed for the new arrival.
The message on Matthews' official website says: "How happy I am to let you know that our baby boy was born on Monday 23rd. 8 weeks earlier than expected.

"We are doing very well and excited now to share this happy news with you. what an amazing surprise, just after presenting children in need on Friday! Love always, cerys and steve"
The former Catatonia frontwoman revealed in August that she was expecting her third child with Abbot, who is also her manager.
Matthews, who was born in Cardiff and grew up in Swansea and Fishguard, has a son and daughter Glenys Pearl Y-Felin and Johnny Tupelo Jones. with her former husband Seth Riddle, an American music producer with whom she lived for a while in Tennessee.
She presents a daily show on 6 Music and released a solo album in October and also went on an 11-date tour.
Last Friday evening she was in the Wales Millennium Centre, co-presenting coverage of Children in Need for BBC Wales.
