Man in 60s dies after house fire

House fire in Holywell
Firefighters said the property was well alight

A man has been found dead after a fire at a house in Flintshire.

The man in his 60s was found after fire crews were called to a property in Brynford Street, Holywell at around 1600 GMT.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said they found the two-storey end terrace property well alight.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus brought the fire under control and the cause is being investigated.

The fire service said crews were going to be in the area carrying out free home fire safety checks and offering advice to occupants.
