A Welsh Guardsman who lost his leg in Helmand province, Afghanistan, says he is eager to get better and back to work.

Dale Leach, from Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, also fractured his ankle, his skull and his back in three places when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) destroyed the patrol vehicle he was in.

Pte Leach is learning how to use a prosthetic leg at Headley Court in Surrey, and hopes to be fit enough to walk down the aisle at his wedding next August. He spoke to Roger Pinney.
