Five minutes with the candidates

A clock showing five minute to the hour
The candidates had five minutes to answer random questions

In an exercise in quick-fire democracy, the three contenders for the leadership of Labour in Wales and to become first minister agreed to be interviewed against the clock on largely non-political matters.

Edwina Hart, Carwyn Jones and Huw Lewis were grilled by BBC Wales political reporter Carl Roberts for exactly five minutes.

After a polite request to keep their answers short, they manage to give answers on everything from their home life, children and families, pets, heroes, regrets and pastimes.
