Motorway reopens after collision

The eastbound carriageway of the the M4 at Cardiff has reopened after a crash involving a police vehicle and an MPV in the early hours.

Police shut the road between junctions 32 and 30 after the collision involving one car at around 0415 GMT on Sunday.

Officers said four people were travelling in the dark-coloured Volkswagen Sharan. None are believed to be seriously injured.

The road was reopened at about 1230 GMT following police investigations.

Officers said the four people who were in the Volkswagen are helping with inquiries.

South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 1111.
