A rare John Owen grandfather clock has been bought by a private collector in Wales at an auction.
The Llanrwst based clock-maker was considered second only to the London clockmakers in the 18th Century. The long case timepiece was made for Mr Owen's landlord Peter Titley in around 1772.
A private collector based in Wales paid £10,500 for the clock at an auction held at Bonhams in Chester.
