Children's home fire investigated

An investigation has been launched into the cause of a fire at a children's home.

Firefighters were called to the property on Sidney Street, Rhosllanerchrugog, near Wrexham, shortly before 1600 GMT on Monday.

All residents and staff had managed to get out of the building safely and there were no injuries.

Three fire crews from Wrexham tackled the blaze on the first floor and in the roof space of the home.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said an investigation had started into the cause of the fire.
