Children in Anglesey and Gwynedd will become the first in Britain to be taught some of their lessons on boats as a new School of the Sea opens.

Stuart Gibson, co-ordinator for North Wales Water Sports, says the project takes children's lessons outside the classroom.

It will teach 1,440 children from 16 schools watersports skills, with another 1,170 pupils being taught existing curriculum subjects out on the water.
