Tryfan is one of Wales' most challenging mountains for walkers

A man who slipped while on the west slope of a mountain in Snowdonia has been winched aboard a helicopter and flown to hospital.

The man was walking on Tryfan, which is 3,002ft (915m) high on Sunday.

A helicopter from RAF Valley on Anglesey flew him to Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor.

Earlier in the day, the same helicopter flew two women with leg injuries to the same hospital after separate incidents a few miles away on Glyder Fach.
