A World War II veteran who helped make and publish a magazine for Welsh prisoners of war has described how important the publication was for morale inside a German detention camp.
Copies of Cymro (Welshman) magazine were recently published online by the National Library of Wales to commemorate 70 years since the start of the war
It was thought that all of the veterans involved in the publication had passed away until Emrys Evans, 88, from Caersws near Newtown in Powys, got in touch following BBC Wales news coverage.
Mr Evans spoke to archivist Dr Maredudd ap Huw from the National Library of Wales and BBC Wales' John Meredith about how he and other PoWs in Stalag IVb camp, near Mühlberg in Germany, made Cymro magazine.
