Dead whale washed up on coast

A dead whale, believed to be a minke, has washed up at the Knap in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan.

Marine biologist Dr Ruth Searle explained the the 33ft (10m) creature probably died some weeks before being washed up on the Welsh coast.

While minke whales are common in temperate climates, it is unusual to find them in the Bristol Channel.
