North Wales Police say they are increasingly concerned about a hiker who has been missing in Snowdonia for two nights. Keith Webster, 46, from the Liverpool area, was last seen in Llanberis on Monday morning. Police and RAF rescue helicopters took part in a day-long search on Tuesday, along with dozens of mountain rescue teams and search dogs. The search was suspended late at night while more inquires are carried out. Mr Webster's car was parked overnight on Monday in Llanberis car park, Gwynedd. He was last seen at 1015 BST that day in the area. A police spokesman said mountain rescue teams had been combing the Llanberis area since about 0530 BST on Tuesday with more than 40 people involved. Backpack "Search teams have now exhausted all potential avenues, and the searches have been suspended for the time being pending further information resulting from police inquiries," the spokesman added. Rescuers said conditions had been difficult with mist and driving rain. Mr Webster was believed to be wearing a brown jacket and jeans, black trainers and was carrying a small black backpack.
