Woman's body find not suspicious

Police are not treating the discovery of a woman's body close to Caernarfon castle in Gwynedd as suspicious.

A woman who was parking her car found the body in area of a car park close to the castle and backing on to a number of cafes and restaurant on Friday.

North Wales Police sealed off the area near Castle Square for several hours after the discovery at around 1300 BST.

The dead woman is thought to have been from the town. An inquest is due open next month.

The scene is only 50m (164ft) from the walls of the medieval castle.
