Russell Carter's crown court trial is scheduled to last a fortnight

A man accused of killing a driver recruitment agency boss has admitted his false imprisonment.

But Russell Carter, 52, of Rumney, Cardiff, pleaded not guilty at Cardiff Crown Court to murdering Kingsley Monk, a 45-year-old father-of-three.

Carter also pleaded guilty to falsely imprisoning three other men at the Driverline 247 recruitment agency in New Inn, Torfaen, on 20 October, 2008.

He denied their attempted murder and will now stand trial on 24 August.

Several members of Mr Monk's family attended the court hearing.

His trial at Newport Crown Court is scheduled to last a fortnight.
