Afghan war 'impossible to win'

The war against the Taliban in Afghanistan is impossible to win, Newport West MP Paul Flynn told BBC Wales parliamentary reporter Bethan James, while the loss of life among British soldiers was something the public would not tolerate.

Mr Flynn spoke as Defence Secretary Bob Ainsworth gave his first major speech explaining Britain's involvement in the war against the Taliban in Afghanistan, against the background of the deaths of seven UK soldiers - including members of the Welsh Guards - in recent days.
