The family of a 51-year-old grandfather killed after a motorcycle collision weeks before his wedding has paid tribute to him.

Kelvin Winter, from Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taf, was involved in a collision on the A4059 near the Tynewydd Hotel, Hirwaun, at 1240 BST on Thursday.

In a statement his family said the "loving family man" was due to marry his partner Tracey in August.

South Wales Police want witnesses to contact them on 029 20571600.

"Kelvin was loved by so many people," his family said.

"As well as motorcycling he was a man with many hobbies including rallying, and photography, and he was well-respected by friends and members of the community.

"His smile will be missed by everybody who he met during his lifetime."

Mr Winter had one daughter and two grandchildren.
