Bus driver robbed by passengers

A shirtless passenger and another who was wearing a high visibility vest robbed a bus driver in the south Wales valleys, police have said.

The two men boarded the bus, which was travelling between Nelson and Caerphilly, threatened the 28-year-old driver, and made off with cash.

Officers said the pair got off the bus in Gelligaer.

Gwent Police said that the driver was not injured during the attack but are appealing for information.

The men are described as being white, aged between 20 and 30 years of age, with local accents.

One was approximately 5ft 9in tall, of large build, wearing camouflage combat trousers and a high visibility vest.

The second man was wearing dirty blue denim jeans and no top.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 01633 838111.
