Poll shows support for monarchy

Forty years after the investiture of Prince Charles, a BBC poll shows that nearly 60% of Welsh people support the position of Prince of Wales but far fewer think his work has benefited Wales.

The results showed that 58% of respondents were in favour of a public ceremony held to mark the investiture of a new Prince of Wales when Charles becomes king, with 59% saying they supported the monarchy. However only 16% felt that Wales had benefited a lot from having a prince.
