Car reverses on to police vehicle

Police officers assess the damage to the car

A man has been charged with a string of offences after a vehicle police were chasing stopped then reversed on to the top of the officer's car in Swansea.

The incident happened outside Siloh Chapel, Siloh Road, Landore on Tuesday.

The man, 28, has been charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving and driving whilst disqualified.

He also faces charges of driving whilst under the influence of alcohol and possession of drugs.

Another 28-year-old man, who was also arrested following the incident, has been bailed pending further inquires.

Police say they are continuing to investigate the incident.

They said a male police officer driving the silver BMW police car was shaken but unhurt.

Police said the car which reversed on to their vehicle was a silver Nissan Torino.
